How To Romanticize Your Life 🎀

Okay, let’s be honest here. Life can be consuming and a little boring sometimes. There’s something magical about slowing down and finding beauty in the little things. Romanticizing your life isn’t about having a perfect routine or an aesthetic apartment straight out of Pinterest, but it’s about creating soft, meaningful moments in your everyday life!🎀

From slow mornings and cozy evening routines to fresh flowers, skincare rituals and peaceful walks, the smallest habits can make life feel more beautiful. Learning to appreciate those little moments can help you feel calmer, happier and more connected to yourself. In this blog we’re going to talk about how to keep up the good vibes all day, everyday.

1. Create slow mornings

Stop yourself from scrolling right away

Train yourself not to reach for your phone the moment you wake up. Take your time to breathe, open your eyes and maybe meditate for a while. Or maybe you’d like to do some yoga. Open your curtains and soak in the morning light. 🌞 Take a nice hot shower before opening your socials.

Start your day with an aesthetic drink

There’s nothing that makes me happier than a cute morning drink (with a bit of caffeine) to start the day. It helps to create a cute little coffee/matcha/tea corner in your house, with cute kitchen stuff. That will make you instantly happy in the mornings. Create a ritual around making your drink and take your time. Do not rush. Sit down with your drink and enjoy this piece of happiness. 🧋

Make your bed

This step is more important than it might seem; making your bed instantly gives you the feeling of having your life together! It gives you a clean start of the day.

2. Buy yourself flowers

Treat yourself for absolutely no reason at all.

Repeat after me: “I deserve flowers.” Yes, you do, queen! If no one else is buying them for you, do it yourself. Buy a gorgeous bouquet or a beautiful green plant (a monstera is my absolute fav!) to treat yourself. Not into plants or flowers? You deserve a present anyway! Treat yourself to that book you’ve been wanting to read for the longest time, grab your favorite snack, or pick up a cute new makeup item.

3. Stay healthy, but make it fun

Go get some fresh air

Nothing clears your head like getting some fresh air, right? Try to step outside multiple times a day. Go walk your dog, go for a run, take a walk (or a roll for our wheelchair babes), sit on a bench, or grab a coffee to go. Just get out there and enjoy!

Healthy food is always good

Make sure you’re getting enough vitamins from your food and drinks. Do you eat enough veggies and fruits? If not, you could whip up a fun smoothie at home or grab one on the road. Don’t really like your veggies? I know, I’ve been there too! But you can definitely make them fun. Just try out some different recipes, I promise you, veggies can taste amazing in the right dish!

Stay hydrated

It’s super important to stay hydrated, especially on hot days. Get yourself one of those giant water bottles or a Stanley cup (so aesthetic!) and challenge yourself to drink at least 1.5 liters a day. Of course, there’s always room for the more fun drinks too, like a morning matcha, an iced latte, or a glass of wine to unwind.

    4. Make selfcare feel luxurious

      Take your sweet time

Self-care is important for both your mental and physical well-being. Take your time with this and don’t rush things. From taking a lovely shower to doing your skincare, bodycare, and putting on some makeup. Use the fluffiest bathrobe you can find to completely romanticize your routine, light some zen-scented candles, pour yourself a cup of tea and apply your favorite face mask. Enjoy! Allow yourself this time.

      5. Create little rituals

Creating small rituals throughout the day gives you something to hold onto during your moments for yourself. By repeating these rituals every day, you’ll never forget to take time for yourself. For instance, write in a gratitude journal daily. This way, you’ll never lose sight of everything you’re grateful for. Total soft girl aesthetic. Create playlists for different moments of the day: one for when you’re running, one for your self-care moments, and one for the morning. Block out an hour every day to enjoy an exciting, romantic, or educational book. Reading is good for you, and it allows you to completely lose yourself in another world for a while.
